Appointment information

Medical Certificates

The doctors at Honeycomb Health are able to provide medical certificates for your workplace if you have been unwell and unable to attend work.  We realise that you are not always able to get a doctors appointment on the day that you are unwell, and unfortunately doctors are unable to legally back date medical certificates. To accommodate this, we recommend that you email the clinic at reception@honeycombhealth.com.au on the day you have tried to get an appointment.  We can then provide a statutory declaration for the day you were unwell at the next available appointment. Statutory declarations are available here, and can be witnessed by any authorised signatory.

Results and Recalls

Your GP may request blood tests or imaging as part of your appointment.  In general, if these results are normal and require no further follow up, an SMS will be sent to your mobile phone number reporting normal pathology/ imaging results.  If you have not consented to receive electronic information, then our clinical nurse will ring you and inform you of your normal result.

If the result is very abnormal and needs urgent follow up a phone call will be made by either the GP or nurse to discuss the next steps.

Most results, however, fall in the grey zone – not urgent but not quite normal.  For these results, you will receive a phone call from the nurse to make a follow-up or recall appointment.  This appointment time can be changed, but not cancelled.  If we are unable to contact you by phone, an email and registered letter will be sent to your address on file to ensure all reasonable steps have been made to contact you. You may request that a copy of these results be sent to an alternative GP for follow up and this may be done at the doctors’ discretion.

Cancellations

We require a minimum of 2 hours’ notice for all cancellations. Appointments cancelled within this timeframe or not attended incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment fee. Please be aware that no Medicare rebate is available for this.
